It has been many years since I lip pursed and all my playing is TB. I don't really know if I'll ever be able to overblow/bend - but for now I'm okay with that. There are two things about TB, other than tone, that I think are important. The first is economy of movement. My mouth is moving very little and so I can really focus on my hand holds - without the lateral movement it is easier for me to continuously adjust my hands to change the vocal quality of the notes. The second thing is the chordal options, moving between chords and single notes, creating rhythms, and leaving raw edges around a pure note. All this might be possible in lip pursing too -but I'm not knowledgeable in that area.

Thanks for that video, Frank. I had not seen that one. Robert Bonfiglio blows me away. Most blues diatonic TBers don't do all that. Imagine the possibilities. Lots of new territory to explore there.
