Hi!
I had a few great amps, but always there were too big/heavy or not loud enough.

So I spoke with my friend about good compromise between size and power.
My idea was to put Bassman '59 RI in smaller box.
Two weeks ago I got my new Mini Bassman amp.

It has the same pots, power, tubes, but it has 1x12 Cannabis Rex speaker and 17kg only (my old Fender Bassman was 28kg).

It's sounds great and LOUD (45W).
We put 8, 4 and 2 Ohm speaker outputs, so I can switch 1x12 to 4x10 very easy :o)

Please chceck this out :o)
What do you think about?

I like it very much! Good call on the C-Rex speaker.

I reduced the photo to 700 pixels wide:

Wow. Better than what I did. I bought an Excelsior because it was light, and then I paid my lawn guy to carry the Bassman up the stairs when I needed it.

No doubt it's a nice amp. The thing about a 410 for me is the 4 10"s, but this seems cool in its own way.

Great looking amp Bart. Very nice indeed. How do you find the 1X12 speaker cuts through the band compared to the 4X10 ?

@ Rick, this is a just tweed cover (this photo isn't perfect :o) ).

@ Kingley I play only 2 gigs on MiniBassman, so I need time to "feel" this amp. Bassman RI has more bottom end, it's bigger surface of speakers so you have more sound on the stage.
Maybe 2x10 would be better (1xP10R + 1xLil Buddy)
But Mini version is more handy and universal.

Two questions.
1) What is the designation of the cabinet? It looks as if it fits the Bassman amp perfectly? Or is the amp chassis not straight out of a Bassman?
2) If you were going to use 2 x 10" speakers does consideration need to be given to fairly closely matching their efficiency? Asking because the Lil Buddy could easily dominate the overall sound?

Smoke, we may want the Lil Buddy to dominate the sound. My favorite combination of speakers in the 2x10 Mission amps is a Lil Budddy and a Eminence Legend alnico. Nic Clark's custom 3x10 Mission amp is two Lil Buddys and a Jensen P10R. Great punchy tone.
