I just counted it up: There are at least 11 good blues jams around Denver between tonight and Wednesday night. All of them are harp friendly. I think that is pretty remarkable.
I can think of four blues jams around Denver that are hosted by harp players: The jam my band hosts on alternating Sundays at Ziggies is the flagship; it has been going every Sunday night for 40 years. Al Chesis hosts on Mondays at Bannock Street Garage. Dan Treanor hosts on Wednesdays at D-Note. And Nic Clark’s band “Bad Brad & The Fat Cats” will start hosting on alternating Wednesdays at The Rusty Bucket.
Other blues jams are hosted by musicians I know who respect harp and harp players: David Booker on Mondays at El Chapultepec. Erik Boa on Tuesday at The Armoury and Wednesdays at The Rusty Bucket. Kevin Kiley on Wednesdays at Bushwackers. Mostly Joe on Tuesdays at Ziggies. And there are others.
I know players who go to most of these jams. Denver has a pretty dang good blues scene.
Tonight I will be easing on in to Ziggies for Doc Brown’s Big Blues Jam. I’ll have the new Mission Delta Sonic harp amp with me for players to try. C’mon by if you are in the area. I’ll hook you up.

11 blues jams in 4 days..thats amazing.
I just checked ,Denver has a population of 619968(how exact is that^)
Where I am,Auckland Newzealand has a population of 1377000,over twice as many people.
We have One blues jam a month here.
It attracts about 60 people on a good night.

Tonight I used the Delta Sonic amp with no effects, lined out to the PA. It sounded awesome.
The jam was fun. Good players and a big crowd.
