Hi Bigtone,

Many of us have appreciated your dedication to the vintage Chess sound in your Soundcloud recordings and also in your vast amp collection that you have been selling off in preparation for your move to California.

My question is: with all the amps that you are selling off, which ones are making the trip with you to CA?

Well I have a single 8 twin 6v6 Flot-A-tone. The Carvin I just picked up and my National 1215 with the zebra stripped grill cloth and chrome handle who I got from a great guy on the forum. I really do not have a huge amp collection I simply buy them whenever I can if they are priced right to play, enjoy and them pass them along to others. Most of the times I get an amp that is screwed up and I have it fixed to just like most of us harp guys to find "the" holy glory tone. Which After doing it for years i have had many great amps but there is no perfect amp. I think you need multiple amps for multiple sounds. Also if the silvertone 1344 does not sell I will prob just take it. Used it tonight at one of my farewell gigs in town and it really was a monster of an amp. I know I probably annoy people with posting amps so much but I hope and wish for them new homes to cool people. Once I move next week I will not flood the forum haha. But I really dig this forum and I really love all the cool people on here and all the help I have gotten and things I have learned from a lot of you guys. I have been flooded due to the move and my baby girl that was born Dec3rd so sometimes I get behind on shipping and behind on things but I try and make it right and I try and be fair with prices and trades. I also look for amps like theres no tomorrow so if anyone wants an old amp I can probably get it. Thanks

Congrats on the baby girl. My birthday is December 3 as well.

No one on the forum minds your amp postings.... One thing you should probably do, if you have the time, is discuss your methods of searching out these old amps. You clearly have things "dialed in" when it comes to finding cool old amps.

Best of luck with your move. And how is your moving going to affect your recordings that you made? I must confess I recorded your Soundcloud songs using Audacity and they are in heavy rotation in my car. Will there be a full album?
