I had a quick opportunity to test this fantastic beatbox microphone. Just noodling and experimenting - not by any means perfect playing - but take a look & listen!
It's a fantastic mic, one of the best I've ever tried. It's great for beatboxers who enjoy a clear, responsive, high-fidelity sound with a convincingly fat bass response. I also happened to have a regular AKG D5 handy (not shown in the video), so I could compare the two. The overall sound of BBB is a bit darker than the standard D5, but somehow it doesn't lose any of it's clarity or complex character.
The most important feature (as a beatboxer and harp player I'd say improvement) is that you can add way more gain to it than with regular mics without feedback problems. It really makes this mic a serious hellraiser.
It's an INSTRUMENT in itself, the first one designed by beatboxers for beatboxers. Based on a quick try I'm sure it would work as a great acoustic harp mic too. I know I'm getting one for myself ASAP.

Interesting. Can't wait for a bit more (combined with harp of course!)

Thanks, Wailer! I have to spend more time with this mic to get proper new material. This was basically just a guy filming me practice.
I also had a chance to try this mic in a short live situation later. It was set up more for beatboxing, but sounded very good with harp too. So I bought one, it really convinced me. Next thing I'm going to try is this mic with my pedalboard. I have a hunch this might even become my solo performance default mic.
