Last call for SPAH award nominations!

Do you feel someone is deserving of special honor in the harmonica community? If you're a member of SPAH, the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica, you can nominate someone for one of SPAH's three annual awards.

But the deadline is TODAY! (I've posted about this before, and this is a final reminder.)

Briefly, the three awards are:

Bernie Bray Harmonica Player of the Year award
(criteria are based on excellence in playing the instrument, with focus on recent achievements)

Pete Pedersen Lifetime Achievement Award
(Criteria include high level of playing ability and a long career -a "lifetime" - but with special focus on sharping knowledge and working to help harmonica players and the harmonica community)

SPAH Award of Special Merit
(Open to organizations as well as to individuals; candidates must have benefited the harmonica community in a manner that is deserving of singular honor)

For more information, please review the 2013 Awards packet that you received with the most recent issue of harmonica Happenings. Or you can download it here:

http://www.spah.org//Files/2013_Convention_Packet.pdf

Nominations may be submitted by postal mail as detailed in the packet, or by email to spahawards@gmail.com. You don't need to use or print the forms, but be sure to address all the award criteria in your nomination and include all required information.

Thanks, and we look forward to making awards to deserving individuals in six weeks!
