I finally had a chance at my recent show in Kansas City to use the GoTip digital tipping site. I am happy to say it worked flawlessly. While we did not make a great deal we did in fact get several tips thru the site that we would not have gotten any other way. So thanks to Adam and Tradebit for the idea and setting it up :)
Now if we could just edit our settings everything would be rosey :)

Shadoe: Hey, that's great to hear. I'll be honest: I tried getting the college kids of Ole Miss to use Gotip at several gigs this past spring and they just wouldn't do it. Up until that point I was raring to go. Then I lost all forward momentum. So GoTip, as currently constituted, is like the internet in 1990. There just isn't a whole lot going on. It's basically Florida swamp land waiting to be developed.
1847: Thanks for drumming up business! Every buck is a good thing. Several people here have been immoderately generous. I like my day job, though, so no need to get carried away.

Adam - what did was use the url of my gotip site to create a QR code that could be scanned via smartphone. Then I printed up some table cards that we put on each table and had one on the CD box. That way all they needed to do was use the code scanner that most smart phones come with and it took them directly to the site.
Like any new technology it takes a bit to leverage it properly.
You can do the same thing with any site so you could use the regular paypal site but the goptip seems to make it just a bit easier or at least more acceptable
1847 - you are presuming I have never bought from or donated to Adam. You would be wrong.
