Your 12AY7 choices are limited unless you use vintage tubes.
For the money there good solid tubes

the pre amp pedal is for condenser mic's
it might just be awesome with my crystal jt 30
and the kinder anti feed backer.
may just go to guitar center to check one out.
i have been experimenting adding gain to my signal
so far with excellent results
