I will be buying a brand new cable for my 777 but for the time being I am wondering if it is possible to repair my original cable which fell off at the amp jack end. I had it hooked up to my amp a while back, picked up the mic and the end of the cable fell right out of the jack end. The problem I see is the connection is pretty deep inside. Is there a way to remove the black sleeve, make he repair, then put it back together? ---------- Bend it like Ricci - Me

The black sleeve probably just unscrews from the front of the plug. Remember, someone had to solder the cable to the plug in the first place. But if the black part is glued on it may be difficult to remove. It is very easy to put a new 1/4" male plug on.....
Happy to do it for you if you need help. ---------- ---------- /Greg

Oh man. I posted this question before my first cup of coffee. Once I had a cup and did some looking around I realized I chatted with you about this before. I came back just now hoping to delete the question so you wouldn't see it and reply and think I had no memory, lol. I managed to get it unscrewed a few minutes ago. I figured that was how it was put together since it had about 1/4th inch of thread exposed but it was so difficult to get off by hand that I was afraid of breaking it before. But one of those rubber can lid gripper pads helped. Now I have to find someone to solder. I suck at soldering. ---------- Bend it like Ricci - Me
