Give us your tips on money saving ideals PLEASE - so we can continue to support our gear and harp habit :)
Here is a great way to save a lot on money on quality razor blades...I use them and they are excellent and AFFORDABLE! And the money saved can go in my harmonica habit coffer :)
I am always looking for a good gear deal, I buy cheap and sells to the right price.
Last year I pay $200 for a Bugera V5, then a few months later I found a guy selling his Laney Cub 12r for the same $200 (retail price is $400) so I sell my amp and bought that one. I didn't like the sound of the Cub12r and put it to sale, because I wanted to buy a Cub 10 (2 6v6s instead og the 2 EL84 of the CUb12r), and, out of the blue, a guy contact me and tell me that he want to trade me my Cub 12r for his Cub 10 plus $160!!
Long Story short: The total cost of my tube amp was only $40!
The same goes whit my mics, I own a Universal 312 whit a NOS Hi-z Shure CM (one from a 520D) = $80, and a Astatic JT30 RH =$85.
So this may seem simplistic.... but I pay for everything things I need, day to day, in bills. At the end of each day, I have a jar in the bedroom. Each and every day...it slowly fills.
Buy a pop for 1.50, I pay with 2 dollars.
Its simple, slow... but will get you the extra $$ you need for purchases.
I think the parrot took over when the dude sucked his brain out with the vacuum cleaner. I have another idea. He should use the cheap razor blades and just go for the Breaking Bad look. :)
Hairdressers are like lawyers. You shouldn't handle your own case. I have a true story cautionary tale. I cut my own hair for five years when I was at university. Never had a girl friend. Girls at parties thought I'd recently had brain surgery, but they never asked me directly. I go to the local Asian hairdresser's and they do it for $18. When mail comes with a rubber band I say the rubber band. Never have to buy 'em. Here's a tip to save money/time on ironing. When you have a business shirt, put it on drip dry. Don't let the washing machine spin. Hang the shirts out soaking wet. They don't get wrinkled and you never have to iron them. My Roland amp uses 8 AA batteries. I have two sets of rechargeable ones so there is always at least once fresh set when the other is recharging.
ask your mark if they have a quarter. say ok great dont let me see it. turn your head hold out your hand and say "place it tails side up in my hand and i will tell you the date". so they do and you stare at the quarter and say whatever the date is like june first 2013 and you walk away with the money. do this sucker bet to 200 people you got a new harp.
