Ray was a great talent and a kind and good man from all I can gather. He was half of the creative force of the Doors and went on in music after Jim M. died.
Play on Ray. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
Ray would sometimes sing Jim's parts during concerts when Jim was too wasted to vocalize. I understand that he sounded just like Morrison when need be.
btw, Oliver Stone's The Doors.....while I like Kyle Maclachlan (Twin Peaks, The Hidden), I feel he is miscast as Ray in this movie....otherwise, an awesome movie. ---------- The Iceman

See your point on the Ray casting, I'm a fan of Oliver Stone's movies, though not always agreeing with his point of view, but I really like his take on the Doors. He pulled no punches regarding Morrison, so much so that I understand the other members of the band weren't too happy with how the film turned out. For all the problems they had with Morrison, they felt Stone only showed the "bad" Jim. But that's Stone for ya', very opinonated, not above hyperbole to make his point.
But still a great flik.
