I've just added Doug Jay to the all-time harp greats honorable mention list after taking a listen to the video of him playing through the Princeton amp and then checking out his website. He swings very hard. I've heard of him for years but never had any of his music and let him kind of fall off the radar. Anyway, I'm glad to have him on the list.

He is always touring around Europe (I think he lives in Germany now?).
Yet every time he is advertised playing anywhere I can get to, I have never bothered going. When I listen to those YouTube clips of him playing though I can't figure out why!
I will have to make sure to catch a gig of his next time the chance comes up.

I remember Jay from the 70's. I had him on vinyl, the band was the "allstars", out of Balitmore?

Hi
Doug lived in Germany until start of this year, but moved back to the states in early spring iirc.
He still tours a lot in europe though.
