Can anyone recommend good blues venues in Koeln? Our band is looking to play there in August-September. We're looking for a good crowd that appreciates original blues-rock-americana music (we're not a covers band), as well as a few classic and obscure blues covers thrown in. Ideally an audience of 40-80 people (what we usually play to in Paris). I would be interested in any specific places, where you have experience - either playing or listening... vielen Dank!

I'm not sure if this will help, but if I were you I'd try emailing Harpsucker (Tomas?) on YouTube and also emailing Mario Hemken on YouTube too. They are both based in Germany and will probably have some suggestions. You could also try asking Steve Baker, he might know of a few places too. All of those guys are very approachable and when asked nicely are very helpful in my experience.
