Sounds a lot like Sonny Terry. Don't know the history but sounds like a good name to find out more.

I've been a fan of JC Burris for a very long time. He was Sonny Terry's nephew. As a boy he was Sonny's guide on trips into town and stuff. In return Sonny taught him to play harp. He recorded a few albums by himself and also recorded with Sonny Terry. When you listen to the recordings with both him and Sonny on them it's damned hard to tell them apart. Albums of JC Burris's worth checking out are: Blues Professor, One of These Mornings and Long Way by Myself which are his solo work. For his albums with Sonny Terry look out for, On The Road and Sonny Terry's New Sound.

Here's one of them playing together, with Sticks McGhee (Brownie's brother).

My favourite tune by JC is called "Always Doing Wrong". Here's me attempting to do it justice and failing miserably.
