Just a shot in the dark... but anyone know of a harmonica instructor in the Pittsburgh, PA area?
(maybe someone knows a friend of a friend of a friend??)

Pockets hello, I live in the City limits of the Burgh and Iv'e gotten lessons from Lucy Van Sickle and Mark Reisman in the past. Charlie Barath I'm pretty sure gives them, he is near Pittsburgh. I give them sporadically - I charge $20.00 for 5 min to 2 hours, in other words there is no time limit, it is a flat rate and we go till whenever the lesson ends naturally... I can do that because I teach as a hobby not as a business :)

Michael Rubins us great. He's in Austin but I believe he does Skype lessons. He's on this forum or do a Google search. He taught Ronnie Shelist, amongst many others.

@ Frank, does you hobby harmonica teaching include skype lessons at a similar rate? I used to live in Squirrel hill. I'm kidding mostly, about the lessons. I'm great admirer of your playing.

Gee Frank that is so kind, ha ha and I will contact you, after reading your post 'a beginners manifesto' a little more thoroughly, and taking a couple of notes. I will do a little homework first then I will bug you.

The great thing about getting lessons from a Pro rather then an amateur as myself is I have holes in my abilities - where a Pro will have all their eyes dotted and tees crossed...In other words there are some things I will not be able to fully help you with, I have my limits, were a Pro been there done that :)
