I have read in various blues harp posts the difficulty in contacting John Kinder ( Kinder Musical Instruments - Harp King ). I am in need of a AFB + so I gave the website number a call. To my amazement I got an answering machine this time. Left my message. I also wrote a short letter. In 3 days I got a call from John. We spoke for about 15 minutes. He seems to be a very nice guy and very helpful. I think the letter did it. He IS building amps and pedals on a piece by piece basis. He said I would get the AFB + in about 12 days. I also asked for a manual for my 6-10 Harp King ( which is totally off the hook ). I bought the amp from Rod Piazza and am using his tape marks on the controls.Nice to have the instruction sheet anyway. So bottom line - print out the order form at the website and send it in with your check. Harp King is one of the finest harp specific amps on the planet. John is in his mid 70's. Id get on the stick if I wanted one. I have tried for three years to find a used 4-10. Not happening. Once again a short letter worked for me.
