Hey again,
Anybody know of anyone who could repair (and retune/clean up maybe?) harmonicas, seven to be precise, in the DC area?
Or a cheap, reliable, and speedy harmonica repair guy I could send them to?

Hello.
I'm in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and I can repair, clean up and retune diatonic harmonicas from anywhere. I charge $15 per harp and that's very cheap considering the amount of work I do on each instrument (I profile each reed). I aim for exceptional customer satisfaction, so being reliable is one of my main goals.
As for speedy, my turnover time is currently over four weeks - a little longer if you want more precise tuning, too.
There are others who offer similar service here, too. MP and HarveyHarp come to mind - they are both from the US...

I'm not as painstaking as our previous poster, but I too do harmonica repair.
And I charge the same thing, and also consider it to be a bargain.
My turnaround time is about half as well.
What brand harmonica? I work for Suzuki . . . and am in San Diego, California.

5 are Marine Band 1896s and 2 are Hohner Blues Harps (i think thats what they;re called)

I'm betting you can't go wrong with any of these fine gentlemen.I have had good results with MP,and believe he specializes on hohners.MP has been very honest about a few basket cases I sent him.These guys provide a wonderful service.
Just curious arzajac whats postage back and forth of the border.

To send me a package with about 6 harps would cost $11.95 First-Class Package International Service
To send them back to you with insurance, $19.40 Tracked Packet™ - USA 6 business days ($15.56 Small Packet™ - USA Air without insurance, but I always recommend insurance)

I like Mike Peace too--he did a fine job of installing screws in some Hohner 365s and 364. Sealed the combs too . . .
But I have a leg up on these welded reed Suzukis, keep me in mind, you guys--
