(Electro Voice RE10 also was connected to an impedance matcher). Bass & drums tracks were created in BOSS BR-1200CD. No guitar amp was used.
Hi Håkan-- I found this post as I was trying to learn about the Behringer Tube Ultragain, a vacuum tube preamp lent to me recently by a guitar playing friend. You used one for this song.
You are a good player. Your tone is great, coming from your great acoustic chops married to the electronics. You have a real blues feel, which, in the end, is more important than the sound. But... let's talk about the equipment for a minute.
You inspired me to play around with my Tube Ultragain; it's a MIC100, hope that doesn't mean it's only half as good as yours.
I tried it with my '95 Blues Deluxe tonight; it added a nice touch of grainy distortion. I'm going to see if my friend will sell it to me (and my wife will let me buy it). My friend doesn't use it with his guitar amp any more.
About the microphones-- great to hear three mics on the same song and the same equipment. For what it's worth, on this video, I preferred the Astatic JT30's sound over the RE-10 and the black CR in the Astatic shell.
I'm from your area, originally-- born in København, raised in Canada, where you will find me now. Glad to see blues is loved planet-wide, including in your country.
Kuulostit suuri!
Cheers,
