Here are three short video clips of blues harp solos from the Mile High Blues Society jam at Ziggies in Denver, Mar 10, 2013. The players are Ronnie Shellist, Gregg MacKenzie, and Nic Clark,

I brought two amps to the jam: Bassman and Mission 32-20. Just for fun, can you guess which player is playing which amp? No pedals or effects (not even delay) on either amp.

Oh ok I'll bite first!
Here's my guess.
Ronnie is playing through the Bassman
Greg is playing through the Bassman
Nic is playing through the Mission

That was fun.
At the risk of favorites: tone tone tone.
And it wasn't the amp so I don't care who was playing which.

Nice video, great playing!

My guess would be:

Ronnie Bassman
Greg Mission
Nic Mission
Ronnie Bassman again.

No idea about amps, but the music sounds great!

In that first solo I dig the way Ronnie changes harps (and positions) on the same note on each harp. Very cool.

all good..the stand out player, for me...the big guy, Nick Clark?...playing the Mission, eh? That's some big tone!
I would have guessed he was using the Bassman.

Why is it that we all just can't get along?<

Here is the answer:

Nic was the only player using the Bassman. Ronnie Shellist and Gregg MacKenzie were using the Mission 32-20.

None of the amps were running though the PA system.

The drummer was drunk on his ass in that last clip and dropping beats, but it's a jam so it's all good.
