Hi folks...
After carting my amp around to blues jams where you often only get 3 songs if you're lucky, I decided that I was getting too old for that. I have since been simply switching my Shure 545 mic wired for low impedance with the vocal mics they have on hand going to the PA system. The sound is okay but obviously doesn't provide the grit that I would like. I have also recently acquired a Harp Attack and really like it used in conjunction with my VHT Special 6. However, I know through reading this forum that folks also run the Harp Attack through a DI-Box and into the PA at gigs to get a gritty sound (albeit the level of detail and specificity to answer my question below has not been addressed in these discussions). So I have decided to do that at the next jam I go to. This particular jam does not like folks spending much time fiddling with stuff, which means I need to get up there and know what I am doing. Now my question:
I have purchased a Behringer Ultra-DI D120. I get that the cable from the mic, which will be an Astatic W-50, will plug into the 'in' on the Harp Attack and that a patch cable with 1/4 male connector will connect to the 1/4 female in on the DI-Box. Plugged into the DI Box XLR male will be the XLR female cable cable which runs to the PA. However, the ultra has a channel 1 out (bal/unbalanced), a channel 1 in (balanced/unbalanced), a channel 2 out (channel 1 out link), and channel 2 in (channel 1 out link). The way I read the manual is that I only need to use channel 1 for both input of my mic and pedal line and also output to PA. Is this correct? Also what are the best settings. I suppose unless there is feedback, keep it at 0 db attenuation (there are also 20db and 40db settings). The mode setting has a link setting and a 2 channel setting. This one I am not sure of. Ground has 2 settings, lift and ground. I am assuming that ground is the correct setting but again not sure. I do know that the battery switch should be turned on...lol...
I guess I am quite challenged with electrical terminology but hey I have never used one of these things before. And if I had time up there on stage to fart around I would just do trial and error with the sound man...but because they are so anal about time (and of course we do like to have everybody get the opportunity to play), I want to know beforehand...At any rate, any help would be appreciated...

Couldn't work out how to share directly.
Hope it helps

I don't have the same DI box, but here's how I do it. Mic into Harp Attack "in", patch lead from Harp Attack "out" to DI box channel 1 input, xlr from DI channel 1 output to PA. I set the DI to -20db, put the Harp Attack volume in the 12 o'clock position, tone on 9 o'clock, drive on 9 o'clock. I'd set the PA channel to bass, 1-2 o'clock, mid 12 o'clock, treble, 11 o'clock. I use either an SM57 or a JT30 with MC151 element. I leave the DI box set on ploat (default setting?)

bublnsquak...Unfortunately the guy on youtube is discussing recording using the di box. He does not cover the simple task of simply hooking an unbalanced signal to behringer di to a PA. Kingsley...does your di box have a second channel in an out? Either way, it might be my best bet to assume that I only need to use first channel in and out. Thanks guys...gruvemeister...

Just had a look and mine has one channel. I'd imagine that as long as you use channel one in and out on your DI box, you shouldn't have any problems.
