Hi, yesterday my long expected CM arrived. It looks new, no old soldier, or anything, all shining (it even came whit the Shure manual). I have 2 questions:
- In order to wire the CM to Hi-z I need to use the connection on the first or second floor? (yes, the connections are one on top of the another), when the element is facing down, and the CM label is facing up.
- Do I need a 10k, 50k, 100k or 250k volume pot??
I cant wait to put it on a shell!
THXS a lot!!

Use the terminals you have labeled Hi-Z and shield/ground. You can also use HiZ and Low-Z for just slightly less output. For that element I actually prefer a 100K pot which will knock just a skosh of the high end off - I find the element a little harsh. But 250K will also work fine and is my pot of choice for single impedance CM's and CR's. ---------- /Greg

JD Hoskins,
Thxs a lot for the picture, you are a very kind person.
Greg,
If you prefer a 100k volume pot, 100k it is!
Thxs a lot for your help, I will let you know how it turns out.
