Not sure if this has already been posted, but I'm loving the new recording from Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite. Sometime I forget what an awesome player Charlie is until I hear something like this.. damn!! Ben Harper's singing is just right too.. double damn!!
This new record is getting a lot of attention here in Paris, where Ben Harper is pretty popular in the mainstream. As a result, a big segment of 20-40 year olds are getting exposed to blues harp for the first time... and discovering Charlie Musselwhite along with the whole blues harp sound.
Great album indeed! I love it. Although there could be a little bit more harmonica playing, in my opinion. But the compositions are fabulous, and so is Harper's voice. Really awesome.
