I compare the Front & Center mic, 1959 Shure 440SL mic, and Shure SM57 mic with Bulletizer from Greg Heumann at www.blowsmeaway.com.

Whadda ya think?

TEST NOTES: The Shure 440SL mic is louder than the other two... a LOT louder. The amp volume was on 5 (out of 12) for all three mics, but I had to turn the mic volume way down on the 440 to get the same perceived loudness on the amp.

My impressions:

-The Front & Center mic is the darkest.

-The 440SL silver bullet cuts the best and has the most color in the tone.

-The Bulletized SM57 has the best tight-cup sound. If what you want is an airtight cup, this is the ne plus ultra.
