He's okay but would not stand out amongst peers inclusive of all ages. To me there's a difference between being amazing and being an amazing child and at the end of the day only one of those do I really want to listen to on a desert island.
The kid in the music shop is truly impressive by pretty much any standard. His pitch is spot on as is his timing. Really nice phrasing and dynamics as well. All that, but what really stands out he seems to sing from the soul of the song. One sees these kids from time to time. The question always arises, "How do they get that feel with almost certainly no life experience to speak of?" ---------- LSC
I prefer to stay with Todd's original post about Joshua and not all the other talented kids out there... they should be in a separate thread, even as talented as they are... too bad they don't play harmonica! :)
We are watching Joshua grow as a musician... from playing harmonica and now also as a vocalist... and as we all know, both of these talents go hand in hand, and both of these talents positively complement each other.
Let's all see where his talent grows and leads him...
No, Joy probably did the tie--she is in charge of loose ends. Josh stopped by the booth at NAMM, as did Stevie--they both played with Rob Papparozzi, and both are cool cats. Josh has better hair tho 8)
Have seen and also taught many young children with natural talent and the ability to sing as good as the kid in the music shop.
It works when the parents expose the kids to music they like at a very young age without pushing them to do anything. Some of them just start to sing along and eventually stand there unaccompanied and sing the song spot on pitch.
It isn't that hard to understand as long as the adults get out of the way with their closed minded ideas of how and what natural talent is. ---------- The Iceman
