not sure who wrote this. this is the best version I've heard. the groove is all over the place...at the same time it is locked in tight!... how can that be?
eight bars two chords!...is that a lee oskar harmonica?
i bought the woodstock album for 5 or 6 bucks just the other day didn't care for it to much that song on the album just does not swing
listen to the clip with the paul schaffer band sounds like it is unrehearsed. maybe paul arrived late to the rehearsal? maybe they played it one time thru without him?
maybe it's just me! but i have a hard time counting it out it sounds almost like they are lost covering for each other. then the next time i play it it seems exactly right on time. it swings that's for sure.
the album track is easy to count, very predictable it does'nt swing
i like his members only jacket i had one like that.cant remember if i bought one cause they were cool or if it was cause i saw him wearing one
who was it that said "if you remember the eighties" you probably weren't there
I liked the Late Night band when it was just a four piece. I think the Letterman take is really funky; everyone has a different definition of swing, but this swings to me.
They probably didn't rehearse this much, but why should they? First take magic there. ----------
Muddys voice carries that tune- It's really not a swing tune anyway-Butter does an ok job,but I would not consider Pauls band to be "swinging"-I have played with the bass player from Pauls latest band-now she SWINGS!!!
on the letterman track paul sings they take your love..... the one is right there they take your ...one
on the woodstock record muddy sings.. they take your love and your money they take your love and your one! entirely different groove. count it out 1234..2234..3234.4234 5234..6234..7234..8234 the letterman track sounds "black" the woodstock track sounds "white"
