Michael's harp work here just floors me. Makes me say,"I want to sound like that!" All the right notes,in the right place at the right time and the expression is crazy good.
I really liked MR bit there starting at 1:26. Nice mix. ---------- Sun, sun, sun Burn, burn, burn Soon, soon, soon Moon, moon, moon

This video by the absurdly under rated and under discussed Mark Ford, a fluid and powerful harmonica player and brother of guitarist Robben Ford. This version of "Mellow Down Easy" is one of the most impressive out there--Mark's speed and precision are impressive, but I greatly admire his fluid attack and the power of his lines. This is one of the great harmonica tones of the century. ---------- Ted Burke http://youtube.com/watch?v=-VPUDjK-ibQ&feature=relmfu
Oxharp: I thought of putting that video up because truthfully speaking that siren crescendo: that note: is so emotionally engaging it almost feels sexual for me...And I'm not being sarcastic. I've lived a wide life.... from running a neurologic I.C.U. to playing with Quincy Jones and it's my inflexible opinion that subjectivity, i.e., what we hear and what it evokes is neurotransmitter related.....And Guy galvanizes my serotonin! ---------- Facebook
I know this isn't what you're going for, but I find myself mostly watching videos of my own band these days. Which is really surprising to me. I've been recording myself for years now, as a tool for learning and improving. For most of that time, I mostly hated what I heard, but I learned a lot about what I was doing wrong (and occasionally, right). Only recently have I arrived at a point in my musical "career" where I actually like what I hear, and listen because I like it instead of to pick it apart. Which is really pretty cool. Never imagined I'd get to that place.
Charlie plays that PERFECTLY. Every note. I love how simply he plays this. One thing I find when I play is that the simpler I think, the better I play. Thanks for sharing that Charlie Musselwhite video.
