Funny thing is that I just listened to this video last night; Butterfield's singing is fantastic and his harmonica soloing is, in my book, untouchable. Butterfield is the single most important influence on my own playing and hearing him hear in full command of his powers convinces me even more that he is one of those rare geniuses who changes the way people play and think about the blues harmonica. He was many things, and harmonica master over all is primary among them. His improvisation on "Drifting and Drifting" is so good that it makes me want to stop playing altogether.
