So at rehearsals yesterday, the band leader asked me for more volume which I can mostly accommodate as I have a volume control on my mic.
He suggests that maybe a foot switch could be a good thing. Well, I've never used one and I don't think it would work too well as I would still need my volume control on the mic because different keys give different responses and can sound shrill and cutting without proper control. It's not like you can have one switch position for rhythm and one for lead.
Am I wrong here?

I just bought the Wholly Roller by Boomerang--it works with the 'Rang III as an expression pedal, but when I tried it as a volume pedal, I about crapped.
I recommend it--but it is not cheap.
