1st Part: (-1)/4' -4 3' -2 +4 +3 3' Description: 1 draw sliding into 4 draw bend to 4 draw to 3 half step bend 2 draw 4 blow 3 blow (could be 2 draw) to 3 half step bend
2nd Part: 1' -1 2" -2 3' -2 Description: 1 draw bend 1 draw 2 draw bend 2 draw 3 half step bend 2 draw
EDIT: I'm on the fence on the second part where I have 1 draw bend... it could be 1 blow to 1 draw. Kind of undecided here. END EDIT
This is more of an exercise in tabbing, which I am awful at. This probably took me about 20 listens, but I feel like I have this 85-90% there, with the remaining part being Kim's ballsiness and style.

I'll give it a shot too, since I happened to have a C harp right next to my computer and I'm really bad at tabbing..
start with 2 draw jump to 4 draw half step bend then slide from 5 draw down to 3 draw dip with a leak of 4 draw (to me it's a Kim's thing to give the passage a rough texture) then tongue pull for the upbeat before 4 blow tongue pull again and then 3&4 dip to 2 draw whole step bend as a pssing note to 1 draw now back to 2 draw whole step bend and then 2 draw and then 3&4 dip and end with 2 draw.. I'm pretty sure this is accurate :)
YOU all did GREAT...using #'s are okay when writing notes out...my personal preference is to write out the notes because they seem more alive to me or meaningful...but numbers are fine :)
I will put some of my thoughts up tomorrow - but again you guys are GOOD...Specially Ridge - wham-bam-thank you maim dit in no time flat!!!
This may be wrong, but like you guys. it's how it is sounding to me at the moment...May change the more I mess with it?
I’m just putting down the single notes that I’m hearing – use your imagination on dynamics and technique to get effects Kim is getting…Also good luck on achieving Kim’s perfect attack on that little riff – its well worth the effort of trying to get it to sound like he is doing it :)
2 (G)…. 4 (Db)…. 4 (D)…. 3 (Bb)….
2(G)…. 4 (C)… 3(G)… 3 (Bb)
2 (G)… 1 (D)…. 2 (F)…. 2(G)…. 3 (Bb)…. 2 (G)

Figures, second time I was wrong this week,hahahahaha... but that's one of the reasons I like studying a cool phrase to try and get it right :)
The clip does sound different to me at times and I'll change or add a not or two and see how I like it...Sure, it's the same clip - though I'll hear it differently as I try to zero in on certain aspects of it.
Ultimately, for me personally, after gettin the notes in order the best way I can... it is getting that RAW,CRUNCHY lick to sound like Kim's that is a fun and interesting pursuit :) Man can he get that "C" harp to sizzle like a pan full of bacon with the heat on high!
"sizzle like a pan full of bacon with the heat on high!" NICE - I'm stealing it for a song lyric - unless your legal team says otherwise. ----------

There is grit in the Bb's, as he lets a bit o' hole 4 bleed in.
It's one of those licks that is actually less notes than you might think...keeping in mind that Kim also uses his implied forward momentum and TB (real or simulated) techniques.
Bdog…hahahahahahaha…I have a feeling – your song is going to end up R-rated with that line in it
Nice job Ridge. You always amaze me with your ability to quickly decipher harp lines and make them your own.
With my attempt of the lick in the video, I did decide to subtract notes from my earlier equation… and most certainly Kim always LOVES combining notes to make nice FAT tonal bombs… I believe the bends I’m hearing on his double stops are “dip bends”…That’s how I played them in my video. Agreed, the momentum of that lick is in the inflections of his breathing prowess and embouchure techniques
"Agreed, the momentum of that lick is in the inflections of his breathing prowess and embouchure techniques "
...not to mention playing notes that no one seems to be able to find on their harp! (cue: roll-eyes emoticon...where's the roll-eyes emoticon when you need it?) Ridge & Frank, you are chopping the notes & making it too staccatto, it's more fluid (as well as playing different notes).

It’s a beautiful dilemma …Don't confuse the First Step with "utopia.” that is a common mistake one makes as their mind subtly devalues the First Step. What is more natural a Rhinoceros or a Kim Wilson lick?
I really liked the idea of Frank's thread. It motivated me to try something different. The clip is deceivingly tough to decipher especially for someone who doesn't listen to Kim frequently. The way the he moves around the harmonica forces me to break certain patterns or moves that I'm accustomed to doing.
As for me playing it to staccato, well, that's just generally a problem in my playing. I'm not sure how I'll correct it or change, but I know I'll get there someday. I'm already critical of myself, but that's what keeps me moving forward and improving.
Mark, I'm sure you're just busting me and Frank's chops and that's cool with me. But let me leave you with this: it's a lot easier to tell somebody they're wrong in this situation than it is to actually produce something that is correct.
Ridge your pleasant interaction must be annoying him, I doubt if engaging such a person in conversation will be helpful. As far as the cute eye roll thing, it's probably just a nervous tick.
Ridge, you are quite right...it's easy to simply criticise & find fault. I thought Frank wanted the lick deciphered rather than a "play this lick better than me..." competition. But in the sprit of friendly banter & participation here is my entry, also a slowed down version...
Kim sounds like he is skipping over the 1Draw, after the first 3&4 draw & before the first straight 2 draw, which I omitted...I can rerecord if you think necessary, but I'm sure you get the gist.
