"I want to be Loved" by Muddy Waters, what key harp is being used here? I see another video indicating that it was played on a low C. I am able get close using bent 1 & 2 draw on an F harp.

This song drove me crazy trying to figure it out. I think it's in 1st on a C,but I'm not 100% sure.

Try playing a Bb harp using blow 4 draw 3 draw 2 draw 3 blow 4. You can work out the key.

I concur w/Tuckster's astute observation.

It's in the key of C but it's not a 12-bar blues progression. The chord progression just keeps repeating with a couple of stop-times throughout the song.

Now had time to really mess with it. C harp: 4 blow,4bent.2 1/2 step bend,2 whole step, 2 1/2 step. It seems to lay out really well in 1st.

You know,I've heard this tune 500 times, but I don't know who the harp player is. Some great out of the box 1st pos. playing there.

It's a C harp in first position-the guitar is in C as well.

Cotton at his best- from the album "Hard Again".

Doh! Should have listened more closely.
Yeah, that's pretty nice. I need to learn more about first position and that it's not so limiting as I might have once thought.

Key of c and a c harp i play this song in my band. And Little Walter is def the harp player on the track of the original version. Great tune!! Cotton basically takes Walters solo but i heard that in the 50's etc.. When Walter left that even on live gigs Muddy would make the other harp player play Walters solos note for note. For instance Standin around cryin Junior Wells plays harp but for years I swore it was Walter and it does sound like him in everyway as Walter played his ass off on that Muddy stuff.
