I found this post from Jason very profound and I post it on this forum, for our world community and to support him in coming through!

Jason Ricci

Hello everyone: I'm am very sad to report this news. Cleveland and Kalamazoo were cancelled as many of you know. More dates may follow, were not sure. All of my travel privileges were suspended indefinitely due to what really amounts to a technicality with my probation here in Indiana.

I don't know when I will be touring again, this year or even next everything may be fine in two weeks..

I am sober , have stayed sober and have been sober through all of this, it means nothing to the courts here, probation or the police who recently arrested me due to a phony and poorly orchestrated new charge. I have a court date in which I will face this new bogus charge here soon. I may go back to jail for a significant time if found guilty. I did nothing wrong and am hoping the courts and my lawyer will see to give me a fair hearing based on the facts which we have in their own evidence. I plan to fight this as best I can, but the threats made by the prosecutor may have me pleading down (again) to charges I am innocent of in attempt to not play poker with my life, right or wrong.

I have already been jailed for a week already, just got out, and am now starting over once more again emotionally, spiritually and financially but my sobriety remains intact and is even stronger as my urge to stay clean has nothing to do with what is or isn't going well/fair in my life. The only thing I could do to worsen this pathetic situation is to use or drink and I know that in my heart. My love and relationship with Kaitlin, my friends, Rueben Williams and others is strong and I have support that makes me forever grateful! both to them and to GOD. Some of you will not believe me and that is fine. I am not on face book to defend myself, prove my innocence or to seek legal council. I write this for my fans and friends that are concerned so that they may here it for me. The charge is not important and I shouldnt even be answering to it any way here or anywhere Indiana Courts included. I'm sure someone will post it here or somewhere soon enough."And all the neighbors start to gossip and drool"- Hendrix . Whatever happens, More Jail, Dismissal or in between I will try my best to believe that God has a plan for me and all of us and I only have to make the very best of it yet again. Happy Birth day Janis!!

Karma works on its own terms.

Jason created his own problems, but I do believe he is sincere in his latest incarnation and hope that everything works out towards giving him his second chance. His artistry deserves it.

Iceman,
If Jason is innocent, then he did not create this problem. He might have created enemies who would create the problem, but in my opinion that is not the same thing. Karma may be working in mysterious ways, but personally, I don't buy that stuff.

I do believe everything you do has ripples and effects everybody, but I do not believe a negative action necessarily creates negative ripples to anyone, including the creator of the negative action. Just my opinion.

Let's play nice Iceman.

Jason's pretty vague about what actually happened, as well he should be. It's hard to follow what's going on in public records, but from the best I can tell, the jail time he's talking about is for the original charge. There was a petition to revoke his suspended sentence and there is a hearing scheduled for the 30th on it.

Personally, I didn't interpret Iceman's post to be mean spirited.

I too wish Jason all the best and hope all goes well. It is good to see that he is otherwise doing well, and I hope that all goes well in his favor at his trial.

Jasons said "technicality with my probation". Probably means he missed a date, blood test or something. Hopefully it should all work out. I'm prayin' for ya Jason.

David and Michael Rubin:

You guys are way off base, but that's ok. no worries, mates.

I was referring to Jason's past path over a long period of time which led to the unfortunate situation in which he finds himself; not the latest development.

I also believe he is on the right path now and wish him all the best.

Probation usually includes staying within the state boundries where the probation sentance occured.

I know he was in NY-it was on youtube-maybe one of the higher ups noticed it and filed a report.

Best of luck to Jason in his endevours-Lord knows the man has paid his dues-

@tmf: no, it has nothing to do with that. he wouldn't have gone on tour if it wasn't allowed.

Big Jay, go down to what used to be the Pitstop across from the Moose icecream joint. I can't remember the new name but the locals will tell you. It's on south walnut. They have a jam night that you'll enjoy I hope. Go to Vance's Music on the north side of the square too. Eric and his Dad own it and last I knew our old friend Steve Woods was selling for him; killer guitar player. You two will hit it off. Tell them that Stacey and Deedie sent you; we haven't seen them in too long. And our old friend Chris Kinnick has built a Studio that is killer out west of my home town Spencer and there is a gathering that you need to attend. It is Stable Studio's. You need to go meet these people. 20 minutes from B-town. Big Jay, it is a killer studio; can you here me?

Jason played here last month, hard to fault, I smiled through his whole first set. Enjoyed the female singer he asked up too, great strong voice.

Obviously I'm concerned, as I'm sure pretty much all of us are. It was great to see that comeback in progress and I hope to see much more in 2013.

Just because they say you can't doesn't mean you won't-

Whatever Jason's problems are, they aren't my business. What is my business is that, Saturday, my wife and I drove 2.5 hours each way to see his performance and he didn't show up. Simple as that. No one from Jason's camp called the bar owner to say the show was cancelled. Just about every table in the place was reserved for folks coming to see Jason. There is no excuse for Jason, someone in the band or his promotional team to leave everyone hanging. It's not like this happened Saturday afternoon on the way to the gig, If I understand it, this happened on Monday or Tuesday and there was plenty of time to cancel the show gracefully.

Professionally speaking, the cancellation notification should have been handled by Jason's management company.
