i saw son of dave live in manchester last year he was amazing so much energy.
Hi full setup was a akai headrush loop pedal a beringer octave pedal and sans amp bass driver. he used a bass drum mic facing down to the floor to stomp his foot next to and a small mic to play his shakers etc through.
he played through a fender blues junior on that occssion and the sound was awesome.

Sorry, but I saw him in Bristol last year and the support was Eddie Martin, who blew him away.

As in lower range...not all his harps are low tuned. He uses a lot of A and G in the standard octave.
He's recorded solo-looping tracks with harps as high as D...Crossroads is an example. ---------- Mike VHT Special 6 Mods Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas - When it needs to come from the soul...

For the price of the Akai you can almost buy a Zoom G3 in the UK. In addition to the 40 second looper you get delays, reverbs and amp modelling. There are also octave pedals but I am not getting the results I was after with those, so I need to experiment more. I haven't given it enough time recently.
I used to have a Jamman looper but the G3 blows it away. I have also used the Line 6 DL4 and again prefer the G3.
Cheers
Martin
