I've been watching these guys too Bob. John is a seasoned guitar player, harp player is only ok, nothing special.

Why such a poor opinion of the harp player?? Didn't sound bad to me....with harp, less is often times more;)

I didn't say he was bad, just not memorable. This is a harmonica forum. You know, this is not the same John Hall band I remember, I thought he looked older. Planet is lousy with John Halls! Here is the one I see all over youtube.

The planet seems to be lousy with John Halls that play guitar. My favorite John Hall played guitar with Taj Mahal among others. I had never heard of these other guys.

"The average music fan may associate John Hall with his blockbuster Orleans hits like Still The One and Dance With Me, but those familiar with him know his more eclectic work. He wrote for Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, The Doobie Brothers, Linda Ronstadt, Ricky Skaggs and James Taylor. John has also played guitar solos on records by Taj Mahal, Carly Simon and Little Feat."

He also served a couple of terms as a congressman.

Live at the Fillmore 1971.

I think Hall is the 5th most common Anglo name, after smith, jones, young and I can't recall the other, maybe Brown. And John was the most common Anglo given name at some point, still very common.

John Hall is the Bushman Music Works/Delta Frost Harmonica guy who organized the Bean Blossom Blues Festival and this year the Delta Frost Blues Festival.

John Hall

I didn't spot a youtube of him playing, though there are some of him promoting the Delta Frost Harmonica...
