Could one of the admins please fix my typo in the thread title?

Thanks.

There's a lot of hubbub about this really loud, horrible-sounding, what-they're-trying-to-call blues. And people make a big stir, and sometimes it sells but, eventually it fades away because there's no meat.

Tone is awesome. That is my sound. Should add this to the amp tone thread.

What amp is he playing through?

Two points:

1. It's easy to play great blues harmonica when the band plays as quiet and restrained as this one

2. As well as playing, notice how Carlos phrases when he sings....totally laid back and unique.

Agree. That is how it is done. I'm not sure how quiet that band was in person, but I'd much rather hear a band play like that than trying to break the sound barrier (I know the metaphor doesn't fit, but I like it, and you know what I mean). I recall hearing the late, great blues guitarist Mel Brown telling people at his table during a festival wrap-up gig that was getting louder and louder, that he couldn't stand that and was going to leave. Mel was a guy who could play softly with all the tone and feeling you could imagine or hope for.
