I'm curious as to opinions, who does the best version of this classic? Are any bands doing this now in their rotation? Any feedback appreciated... Thanks

Yank Rachell. I had a live recording of his from the Slippery Noodle but that cassette is long gone.

Here's a video from Rob and the Hudson River Rats at a NYC club called Delta 88 back in 1990. "She Caught the Katy" is the second song. Rob has been a powerhouse for a while. He's always had a theatrical way of putting a song across--very different, I suspect, from the Chicago way, but then again: Broadway is only a mile and a half from this club:
