Does anyone have any good stories they'd like to share from the past few weeks open jams?

I live in a really cool area for open Blues jams.

A few weeks ago, I got to back Craig Horton. Craig is a bad ass singer and guitarist. He lived in Chicago and backed Little Walter on occasion. He also recorded with Sam Myers.

Yesterday, I attended an afternoon jam in San Jose, CA. It was hosted by a killer piano player named Sid Morris. I led a set of some low down Blues with a band of great players which included members of the Charlie Musselwhite Band and BMA award winner, Terry Hanck Band. I wish I had thought to record it.

For me, 2012 was a really good year for me. I was onstage with some really amazing musicians. 2013 is off to a really good start, too.
