One more time. I bought a JT-30 some time in the early 90's and was told to switch the crystal element with a ceramic. I bought the ceramic from Shure. I just found the old crystal in my closet and noticed a paper label on the back that says MC151 was placed over an engravement on the element that says CM127. What type of element do I have and why would they do this. Just wondering. Thanks.

You have a MC151 element. Astatic lost/destroyed (don't know exactly) the mold for the 151 elements and used the one for ceramic MC127.
