Kingley, I think I recall in the past you were selling off gear and it seemed like you were at a crossroads with your harmonica path.

Now it looks like you are getting into Golden Melodies and equaltuning? I've been dabbling with a couple of GMs myself for the more melodic stuff I play.

Just curious as to what you are up to these days!

Yes you're right Shane. I sold all my gear and retired from gigging. I kept one harp to tootle on when I felt like it. Anyhow a few things have happened since then which have got me back into playing a bit again. So I decided to try some Golden Melody harps as I've never played them before. I'm liking them a lot. They are very responsive and the equal tuning is really nice. The current plan is to buy six or seven harps, attend the odd jam night here and there as time permits.

How are you finding the GMs? Whats happening in the world of Possums these days?

Cheers Joe. Happy New Year to you too. Hope life in Cali is treating you well.

I am loving the GM's, especially now with the screws and new comb material. I would definitely love to acquire a set, always loved the look and equal tuning has it's place for a lot of the stuff I'm into playing.

The possum's world is a bit harried at the moment but for a good cause. I haven't been playing out but I keep practicing and expanding, and I keep playing whatever comes to mind whenever I get a chance!

When things stabilize a bit for me, I am going to put a band together and have some fun!

I am glad to see you are still at it!

Happy New Year!

They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art.

@timesistight: Someone else could probably be more specific but the plastic on the new ones with screwed on reedplates appear to be made of a less brittle, more malleable plastic than my old nailed ones from the 90's.

Shanester - Happy New Year! Interesting about the plastic on the GMs being different. I didn't know that.

Paging a harmonica trivial fact geek.
Payne in The Ass, where are you?

Is this variation accurate? Or, has the comb material from the 90's embrittled over time?

Yoo hoo, Dave........
