Hi everyone,
I'm gonna try to tab 'Ptryptophan Pterodactyl' from Jason Ricci (it's from the album done with the devil).
I heard that the harmonica and position he uses for each song are printed in the booklet that goes with the CD. Since I've lost the CD box along with that booklet, I have trouble finding out the harmonica and position he uses.
Could someone help me with that?
Thanks in advance, Micha

"I heard that the harmonica and position he uses for each song are printed in the booklet that goes with the CD." - That is true of the Rocket #9 CD but not Down With the Devil.
Christelle had a video in which she played this on youtube but I don't see it anymore.

Damn, bummer.
Would Jason himself answer me if I mailed him? Or is this a no go? If yes, who has his email?
Or if someone else who allready tried to play this can help me...

Key of E played in 3rd position on a D harp (No over blows needed for the head) The timing is the tricky part. Christelle took the video down. Jason

I'm not in front of a piano right now, so I can't bang out the chords, but it sounds like a 4-bar figure to me.

@Violin Cat : Wow, I didn't expect you'd come back in Belgium so soon ! Diest is kinda far from where I live (from a Belgian's point of view !), but I'll try to be there... Still no show in Bruxelles ?
@Micha : Are you Belgian ?

I'm from Jodoigne (Geldenaken), but I live In Brussels from several years. I don't really speak Flemish but I can sort of read it. I play sometimes with a very good flemish bluesman called "Long Tall Danny", do you know him ? He now lives in Brugge but he's from De Haan.

Who is a Belgium beer fan?
They brew some varieties using yeast that in the air. It's like the carnival of beer flavors. The Abby beers, brewed by monks, are killer and Duvel (brewed by the Devil) is darn near like drinking hard liquor in potency. Drink enough of them and even I sound good on the harp.

I sure love belgian beers, my current favorites are Chimay Blanche, Tripel Karmeliet, Tripel Westmael and Bonsecours Ambrée. Many foreign musicians love to drink our specialties while they are touring here. For exemple, I recently saw the leader of a noise rock band drinking Chouffe (a very good brand : I love it too, specially on the draft !)on stage. He kept saying to the bartender : "Donnez-moi la Chouffe !".

Well I've been a homebrewer for 30 years and my specialty is brewing Belgian beers, even the soured varieties. I'm pretty well known for it throughout the US. So if any of you reed suckers are in Tucson don't hesitate to drop by for a few properly served Belgian beers.

Cisco,
I suck at making beer---and the harp.
Did make some sissy raspberry-wheat that was pretty good on hots days. The fancy recipes and voodoo methods you use to make Belgian varieties are way, way over my pay grade.
A few years ago a fellow opened a micro brewery that's making Celis White (Grand Cru, etc.) about an ours drive from my home (he saved the recipe, but I don't know the whole story).
You would love this place (http://www.michiganbrewing.com/index.html). It's a modern building, but still works as a friendly place to try different varieties. If I visit Tuscon, you'll have to try their brews in Michigan!
I trust our moderators don't mind a bit of beer talk now and then...
