Has anyone seen this flick yet?

It's all about competitive a Capella.

I loved the Apatow / Seth Rogan kind of humour, but a tad cleaner. Elizabeth Banks was beautiful and on great comedic form. The chicks are hot as hell and the jokes are brilliant, but the thing that really really got me was the music.

The basic storyline is pretty formulaic: Uptight girl group singing standards with alt. chick member wanting to push the envelope with mashups, rapping and beat boxing. The performances are sublime. Check this out:

It reminded me a lot of the harmonica scene with guys like Brandon, Son Of Dave, Dave Ferguson and Brendan Power pushing the instrument beyond convention.

Let me know what you think. Personally, I think this movie resonates with harp players very well. Like a Capella, the harmonica is rather maligned by the general public as something of a novelty and this flick busts that label wide open.
