Gary was truly one of the great blues harp players.
He had a huge tone, great chops, superb sense of timing, beautiful phrasing, a great voice and was a truly talented songwriter as well.
It was such a shame that Gary checked out of this life the way he did. He spent a lot of his life battling those demons. Sadly they caught up with him in the end.
