Same here so i kinda gave up, however muscle memory seems to be the trick that comes with many things you do. Practice maybe just holding the note as long as you can when you hit it, Mr Gussow has a yt clip somewhere about this.

Concentrate on your most 'do-able' blow bend at present on your lowest harp......and keep trying mate!

Focus point.

Tip of tongue touching where lower teeth and gums meet.

"hump" of tongue moved to the front.

Jaw almost closed.

Focus air stream toward top teeth.

The more forward you focus, the better you will be able to achieve and hold those notes created through bending technique.

When I first started playing, I found that U-blocking made it easier for me to hit blow bends. I also went through a bunch of harps. I started using the broken ones to practice blow bends. People were playing a lot of Jimmy Reed tunes in Chicago clubs. So, I listened to and practiced to a ton of Jimmy Reed records. I listened and practiced with them so much that I wore them out. Thankfully, I like Jimmy Reed.

Of course it could be your technique,but don't rule out the fact that the harp may not be properly gapped. I play a lot of Hohner MS harps and they can be particularly bad.

@roadharp

try closing your mouth so that your teeth touch. Helps with the focus. Pin point that focus and move it forward, put a bit of "back pressure" (strong diaphragmatic support) and pop out those high end exhale bends.
