Hi, I heard many times this amp with harmonica. The sound was acceptable, but nothing special (pretty thin, without bass, non-tube overdrive). But Friend of mine played with this amp a lot of gigs. To be honest I don't recomand this amp for harmonica.

wow... ok. A friend of mine plays one (and he has also the holy grail amps for chicago blues, and he loves his Champion. He did say there was a difference insome of the champions and ya had to know what to look for. He specifically said it had excellent bass response. I'll probably get one if I can find one. Was just looking for other opinions. Thx

@undertheradar, maybe you spoke about Champ? Solid state amps (fe Champion 110) sound thin and with ugly overdrive. It's only my opinion, the best way is: try one :o) ==============================

The Champion 110 was the first amp I ever bought. Big mistake. It's terrible for harp. As Bart mentioned, thin tone, lots of feedback, tinny sounding reverb.

The vintage Champ and it's many clones, (all tube, 5 watts, hand wired, 8 inch alnico speaker) are great for harp (I have 2 clones). The later Fender Champions are entry level, inexpensive play at home amps (please) that aren't very good for anything.
