I only have one GM, key of C. I like playing it in first position every now and then, but I find the top octave too shrill, so I want one in a lower key, but I don't know which to get. I guess there's not a lot of choice - G or A (unless they do something like a low E - I haven't checked). Which do you think I should buy? What about you guitarists - would you rather accompany traditional music in the key of G or A?

Andrew, I have used GM's almost exclusively for years and have the whole lot and some of them have been customised by Jon Vaughan here in Bristol. Shrill octave at the top of C? maybe for your purposes then try G or A, Hohner dont make a low e in GM IMO the best harmonicas are GM's especially when customised.
