Following my first post and all the great advice, I've decided to concentrate on learning a piece of music, more specifically Stone Fox Chase as per Hakan Ehn's you tube videos which I'm starting to get down to a 'T'Bearing in mind I'm still a beginner, it's a fun challenge!

Can anyone recommend other pieces that are tabbed enough to make it easier to learn? Or anything else worth learning (other than Whammer Jammer, that one seems a bit beyond my abilities unless you can convince me otherwise!)

Thanks

Laurence,

Check out Adam's store, particularly the beginners and advanced beginner/intermediate section. There are a lot of good lessons that take you through 12 to 24 bars of playing. It's a great start and there's plenty there to keep you busy. The lessons are usually $5 plus $1 - $2 for the tabs. He also has a beginners package that is 4 or 5 lessons and tabs for something like $20. They almost all have a preview video that you can check out to see if it's something you want to learn.

Learn Hoochie Coochie Man and Mannish Boy by Muddy Waters. You will need to learn the words and sing it too. It will be 2 standards you will have under your belt, plus you will learn the better fundamentals of call/response timing. Also, you will be able to throw down anywhere you can stomp. These are awesome songs and are not very hard to learn.
