I just was watching to see how long it would take for someone to mention Roger Daltrey's harp playing tonight on the benefit concert. It was not that bad,fit the song. Could'nt quite tell what harp he was using, but did'nt look like a Hohner to me.

Members of this forum usually come down pretty hard on rock and rollers who toss in a little harp as part of their entire package. i'm not one. Love hearing a little from Daltrey, Jagger et al. from time to time.

Saw the whole show last night and thought Daltrey was fine on harp, though I did think his vocals were a little shaky on a coupla tunes, but I cut them a lot of slack based on their body of work and the fact that they're all pushing 70.

The evening's only embarassment was that IDIOT Kanye West prancing around the stage in his leather skirt (No i'm not gonna call it a kilt.), like some kind of demented rap crap drag queen.

After reading that I'm glad I turned it off. Watching a little Pink Floyd was bad enough. Before that I was watching the local govt. funded socalled educational tv try to rewrite the american revolution and portray our founders as nothing more than radical's and on the wrong side. It's no wonder I don't turn on the television much; it disgusts me. Jumpimg off my soap box now. Gotta go pursue the evils of capitalism.

I thought of all the old british dudes, Eric Clapton knocked it out of the park. His voice is great and chops amazing, it almost seems like he is picking up steam with age and wisdom.. most of the other old guys have lost their voices

I missed most of it, but caught the Who. When they busted into that tune, I said out loud that he better play harp!

Looked like a Special 20 and I give him credit for being able to play single notes, bends, chugs, and a melody...overall very solid and musical. Love that tune!

Roger's voice is shot, though. It didn't sound like they tuned down, but I am certain the Stones and Billy Joel were tuned down. Billy Joel Rules!!!

I am totally hit or miss with the Who, but appreciated their show last night.

I missed it. Which song did he play harp on? Usually he does the ending solo to Won't Get Fooled Again. Just saw them in Boston last month (12th row!), and when he played harp through his vocal mic, the level was so low I really couldn't hear it.
