Well, you picked a quality harp to learn on. Crossovers are my harp of choice, but I practice on Special 20s. They cost quite a bit less, and you can jump back and forth between the two with no problems. I'm from the Detroit area, too, St. Clair Shores.

Detroit boy here too, from 8 Mile and Livernoise, near the Avenue of Fashion and the world's biggest used car lot. Went to the old Chessmate club at Livernoise and 6 Mile where I heard the Butterfield Band in the 6os. Welcome and keep and harping. ---------- Ted Burke http://youtube.com/watch?v=-VPUDjK-ibQ&feature=relmfu

Also Detroit dude...
all the places I've lived...
Bloomfield Hills, W. Bloomfield, Berkley, Livonia, Farmington Hills and finally Royal Oak.
Brian Miller is one of the best harp players still living in Detroit area.
(Now live in Georgia, of all places). ---------- The Iceman

Thanks, seen it before. I here there is a place in Ann arbor that is pretty much a solid blues place, im going to have to check it out. I've been buying some good blues albums that are heavy on the harp, James Cotton, Blind willie Jhonson, Little walter, and a few others. I guess all the obvious ones, Im a big fan of the slow blues, and N.O. jazz, just seem to fit my style...BTW, Lions are going down tonight, by 14...lol...such loosers!!!
