I thought the whole mascot thing was interesting. It seems almost derogatory I guess. I have always thought of DeFord Bailey as a corner stone in harmonica history, but it put into perspective the attitude towards race differences at that time. ---------- Brad

I've been trying to get my hands on the whole documentary. PBS has a website for it but doesn't seem to have made it into a dvd the way they've done with other documentaries. These two clips are all I've found on YouTube. Does anyone know if the whole thing is available somewhere?
I don't know when that second video was made, but DeFord Bailey was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame around 2005. ---------- Wisdom does not always come with old age. Sometimes old age arrives alone.
