Hi guys,

Wow I didn't think Mr. Hall's quote would have caused such a reaction.
Let me explain; this contest as many state contests are is to promote small businesses with high growth potential. This competition is all about "How many jobs will the small business create in the state and US," This is why we are pushing Made in the USA so hard on this site, we are trying to show the judges that our goal is to hire with-in our community, and to inform them that we as a company will not outsource anything overseas.

This brings me to Mr. Halls’ comment. I put his comment on the site to show the judges that we are the only Harmonica manufacturer in the USA . I thought it was a bold statement and it would stick with the judges. I am sorry some folks are offended, I did not want to offend anyone or country, please don't take this out of context. Perhaps the same thing is happening with the judges, as they might be all talking about the statement too! This is a good thing when there are 75 other companies in this competition.

As to the folks saying they can't vote because they have never played the B-radical, we all know and understand that the world judges us by our past and reputation. I believe my reputation as a customizer speaks for itself and that top pro players would not endorse my product or play my custom harmonicas if they did not love my work and believe in my abilities nor would the top customizers be behind this harmonica such as Richard Sleigh, (who pre-ordered 4 B-radicals,) Joe Filisko and Joe Speirs. We all buy many products based on the reputation of the company that makes them, why not this product? I am not asking anyone to buy it, just vote for it. (I’d be thrilled to death if everyone pre-ordered all 5!)

As a player, I would rather vote for the Harmonica than the other products, because of my love for the instrument. If you would like to hear the B-radical, there are a few Youtube videos and one on the Company web site at the order page.

We are manufacturing the best harmonica ever made for the serious harmonica player and also creating designs that attract new people to our instrument. My personal life long goal has been and remains: to increase the popularity of our instrument, by performance and new designs! I can't say it enough; ‘how cool would it be to have a Harmonica on the cover of a national business magazine!” Here is an opportunity for the harmonica community to get behind our instrument and push it forward and yes, Harrison Harmonicas will benefit also! (as will all harmonica manufacturers, a rising tide floats all boats.) The more successful we are, the better we can grow as a company to better meet your needs.

Warmly,

Brad

I take Jason Ricci's opinions seriously and he's all for the B-Radical. So no hard feelings from here!

I think this is all very exciting. Variety is a good thing.

Brad,
You have my vote.

Typically I try to avoid voicing my opinion on forums for non forum matters but I just can't help myself. I feel that we (North Americans, not just Americans) have to continually justify our business applications against foriegn competition. That there is, as I see it anyway, sub culture of pro foreign quality and loyalty almost not for it but more so against the North American equivalent is most frustrating. I can only imagine how much so to those of us who have lost jobs to foreign industries.
I for one believe that we are equally competitive and have the resouces, talent and commitment to provide superior quality goods, at competitive prices making them of high value. I have first hand experience of this as we are currently manufacturing products for a large Asian nation because they themselves have found higer quality in our goods.
In the Harmonica or musical industry in general for that matter, where offshore product has been the resounding leaders historically, people on this shore have always found means and methods to improve on the products available through modification and customizing. Often buying domestic made accessories to do so.
If we now have a manufacturer who can, potentially or proven, elevate the product to world class standard I believe that we need to support that and promote it to the highest capacity.

Good Luck.
