Well, no-one seems to be impressed by his performance? We can all agree on the fact that he starts from scratch, and that with four notes, he keeps the interest of the thing to the end. How does he build that kind of blaze sound, and how, with four notes, does he succeed to recall a genuine blues? Maybe I'm wrong, but I consider that tune as a feat, an out track prowess.
I have been meaning to comment on this earlier, and have probably listened to this song about 15 times already. My take is that although a "simple" tune, it is deceptively harder to play than it appears. I feel that the lyrics are very clever and humorous. That's the unusual thing about music. To us this is a great, catchy tune that deserves more attention. To others this may be total crap. I have noticed that many great tunes go unnoticed on this forum, and alot of substandard stuff seems to get high accolades. Just the nature of the beast I guess.
We see eye to eye. But feelings, yes... we don't probably share the same with others, that's sure. Thanks for your comment.

One of my favourite tracks on IC Special! I've been trying to get all the nuances of this for about a year now - the violent 3/4 breathy bend, the cavernous wah - and I'm still no closer!
Yes, it's something very special. Derisory at first sight, because associated with broadly humoristic lyrics; stunning is the feeling that Joe is just performing a simply amusing stuff whereas it's a nugget IMO. Thanks for claiming your own perception!
